Lemon Grass

Also called Lemon Grass or Sereh is an ingredient that is widely used in Indonesian cuisine. The sereh is often used fresh and stewed whole or bruised with various stews such as rendang or soups. These preserved rings are made from fresh lemon grass and are widely used in Thailand in salads and curry pastes. The fresh stems originate from India where it grew as a grass. The fresh stems taste and smell honestly fresh of lemon. This is an indispensable ingredient for Indonesian cuisine.
