Rendang Boemboe

Rendang is a classic of Indonesian cuisine. As is so often the case, this recipe can be prepared in different ways, the many regions in Indonesia all have their own way of making this dish. But you can make it however you want, with chicken or beef, santen or coconut milk, you name it.

Instructions

• Fry the contents in approx. 2 tablespoons of oil until light brown
• Then add to this: 1 1/2 cups of water, 1/5 block of santen, 500 grams of cubes of chicken or beef.
• Let it simmer until tender and reduce to the desired thickness.
