Indonesian Nasi Goreng
Nasi goreng is an Indonesian national dish with fried rice. Traditionally, nasi goreng is prepared with meat or seafood. Necessities:
- 1 pack of Indonesian Nasi Goreng Spice Paste
- 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 250 g (1/2 lb) peeled shrimp
- 2 eggs beaten
- 3 cups (600g) cooked rice
- 2 tomatoes, cut into eight pieces
- Chopped cilantro, thinly sliced red peppers or egg sunny side up for garnish (optional)
Preparation method:
- Heat oil in wok or non-stick pan over medium heat. Add shrimp and stir fry for 2-3 minutes
- Move the shrimp aside. Add egg and cook for 1 minute. Add rice and spice paste. Stir fry 3 minutes
- Add tomatoes and stir-fry for 1 minute or until hot. garnish
Cooking Tips:
- Beef, lamb or chicken can be used instead of shrimp
