Guyabano Espesyal Filipino Jam

Guyabano Espesyal Filipino Jam is an artisanal locally prepared product. Also known as zuurzak or soursop and guyabana. Prepared from the pulp of the guyabano, this makes a very tasty jam. Delicious to eat on a piece of toast, but also for breakfast with a warm croissant or a regular sandwich. The jam has a not too sweet character and is mixed with the pulp of the guyabano. Try it for yourself now and I'm sure you will enjoy our own house brand jam.

Guyabano

Guyabano is a fruit with many names, each country seems to have its own name. What is generally the same are the positive sounds about this fruit. The soursop or Guanabana as it is also called is a pear-like fruit that is slightly curved. The fruits can grow to about 20 x 35 cm. The outside is dark green and has curved spines. The flesh is snow white and when fully ripe it is very soft in texture. The taste is fresh sweet and sour. If the fresh fruit is exposed to the air, it will discolour quite quickly, just like a banana. The pulp contains several seeds that can measure approximately 1 x 2 cm. The fruit is a family of the Cherimoya known in the Netherlands.
