Chicharon
Also called Chicharrón is a Spanish name for what is known to us as nibble pork bacon. There are 2 types of this pig snack on the market. For example, you have the slightly fatter version made from pork belly, but you also have one like this one that is made from pig skin. The rind tends to puff up when it comes into contact with the skin with hot oil, making it nice and airy and crispy. This is somewhat the same effect as popcorn or prawn crackers. This snack is light and fluffy and is salted. Delicious in combination with a spicy dip of vinegar or other spicy sauces.
